JHLD was engaged by Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service (QPWS) to design a unique ‘floating steps’ solution for the final accent to the top of The Craig on the new Ngaro Track Whitsunday Island.
JHLD designed a unique system using FRP as the tread material with a stainless steel frame, supported by SS rods Chemset into the rock.
The brief called for a ‘floating’ solution, which would be invisible from the sea.
